GAZA, August 1, 2012 (WAFA) – A group of armed men attacked and beat Fatah official Yehya Rabah in Gaza City late Tuesday, according to witnesses.
They said five armed men wearing the blue uniform of Hamas police arrived on motorcycles at a cafe in the center of town, where Rabah was, and started to beat him.
The armed men, who did not attempt to hide their identity, left the area after the assault.
Rabah was taken to hospital for treatment.
Hamas spokesman Taher al-Noonoo has earlier accused Rabah, who is member of Fatah Higher Command in Gaza, and Atef Abu Salem, also a member of the same command, of waging a campaign to smear Hamas image in Gaza.
