RAMALLAH, January 30, 2012 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic dailies highlighted in their Monday issue Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal’s visit to Jordan and Fatah Central Committee meeting.
Al-Quds headline quoted Meshaal saying Hamas cares for Jordan’s security and stability.
The daily printed a picture of Meshaal with Jordan’s King Abdullah and the Qatari Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani during their meeting in the capital Amman.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida’s prime headline reported on the Fatah Central Committee meeting during which the movement reviewed the reports on the recent Palestinian-Israeli exploratory meetings and what will be proposed to the Arab League follow up committee.
The daily printed a picture of President Mahmoud Abbas chairing the meeting in Ramallah.
Al-Ayyam’s front page story quoted a Palestinian official saying that Israel submitted a proposal including 'impossible' borders of the upcoming Palestinian state that match the Apartheid Wall path and exclude Jerusalem.
The three dailies also highlighted Prime Minister Salam Fayyad’s decision to suspend implementing the new tax amendments for 15 days till the end of the national dialogue on the financial situation.
Al-Quds editorial tackled the latest United Nations report on the Israeli demolitions policy that destroyed 622 houses in 2011, which displaced more than 1100 Palestinians, half of them children.
The daily called on the Arab and international communities to take immediate action and face the Israeli violations of human rights and international agreements.
