HEBRON, August 24, 2025 (WAFA) – An elderly Palestinian man and a young farmer were injured on Sunday when a group of colonists attacked them while they were picking grapes in the Khirbet al-Qat area, north of Hebron.
Halhul Mayor Jamal Melhem said that dozens of colonists physically assaulted 60-year-old Mustafa Abdel Qader Melhem and Ayed Yousef Melhem with stones and clubs, causing them critical injuries.
He added that colonist attacks have recently escalated in lands near the illegal outpost of Karmei Tzur, located north of Hebron, as part of a policy aimed at restricting Palestinian farmers and preventing them from accessing their lands.
Medical sources at Hebron Governmental Hospital reported that the casualties were admitted with severe head injuries and received treatment.
