Israeli occupation forces continue large-scale land leveling in Al-Mughayyir for fourth consecutive day

RAMALLAH, August 24, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces have continued razing vast areas of Palestinian-owned land in the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, for the fourth straight day, local sources reported.

Israeli bulldozers and heavy machinery are working to carve out a new colonial road, uprooting olive trees and leveling agricultural lands in the process. The ongoing destruction is taking place across large swathes of farmland, especially in the eastern plain of the village, which borders the colonial Alon bypass road and is known for its olive groves.

Since Thursday, Israeli bulldozers have been constructing a road near the village, drastically altering the natural and agricultural landscape of the area. Thousands of dunums have been bulldozed and flattened, leaving lasting damage to local livelihoods.

Israeli forces also stormed the village during this period, imposing a siege and carrying out widespread raids. According to residents, the Israeli military left behind significant destruction to property and farmland, and detained dozens of villagers before withdrawing at dawn today.

The razing of land and creation of settler infrastructure in and around Al-Mughayyir forms part of a broader Israeli effort to expand colonial presence in the occupied West Bank, often at the expense of Palestinian communities and their agricultural foundations.
