Hebron: Settlers Uproot Vines, 44 Agricultural Acres to be seized

HEBRON September, 20, 2010 (WAFA)- This morning settlers of Kharsina uprooted one acre of Vines in Al-Boqaa ‘east of Hebron.

Dr. Sofyan Soltan explained to WAFA Agency that Kharsina settlers were wandering in the area yesterday evening; they uprooted the vines, and stole their iron beams.

He tried in the early morning to reach out the Israeli police without any response, also contacted Red Cross along with the press, further more submitted a complaint to the Human Rights’ Organization and concerned deputies in order to provide help.

He demonstrated that the region is targeted by the occupation forces and settlers who do not get bored of hurting citizens and attacking their properties.

On the other hand, the Israeli organizing officer, backed up by the Israeli military, nailed the notifications of evacuating 44 Acres on a stone in the Fazaa’ western Dora south of Hebron, grounds to Jewish settlements.

The settlements and lands Expert Abdul Hadi Hantash noted that these lands are agricultural and belong to Mohammad Ibrahim Abdul Mahdi Khamayse, whom he and his family live from its crops.

In Burin at the southern countryside extremist settlers took over olive fields, capturing the harvest. According to an eyewitness, confrontations took  place in the village of Burin ; that has been attacked by extremist settlers from the settlement of” Yitshar”.

 Mr. Ghassan Douglas the head in charge of the settlement file in the northern West Bank said that the settlers attacked at least three sites there. Moreover, the villagers faced hostility and armed settlers since the attacks of the fields until now.
