Abu Rdeina: Premature to Speak about Resumption of Negotiations

AMMAN, January 24, 2010 (WAFA)- Presidency Spokes person Nabil Abu Rdeina said Sunday it is premature to speak  about resumption of peace negotiations.

Commenting on the second meeting within 48 hours between President Mahmoud  Abbas and the U.S. Envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell, Abu Rdeina said that Abbas stressed that the Palestinian stance is based on adherence to peace through negotiations of clear reference in addition to the halt of all settlement activities.

The Spokesperson said that it was agreed during the meeting upon the continuity of American- -Palestinian  contacts to create an environment to the resumption of negotiation, adding that it premature to speak about a genuine relaunch of negotiations.
