Israeli forces detain one Palestinian as colonists damage property south of Hebron

HEBRON, April 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained a Palestinian man from Masafer Yatta on Wednesday, while colonists attacked Palestinian property and organized provocative marches across several areas south of Hebron.

Activist Osama Makhameh told WAFA that Israeli forces arrested Rasem Muhammad Nawaj'ah and confiscated his son Muhammad's mobile phone while they were herding their sheep in the Wadi al-Jawaya area of ​​Masafer Yatta.

He added that dozens of armed colonists attacked Palestinian property in the Umm al-Qubur area near Rajoum Ali in Masafer Yatta, damaging a fence and breaking several fruit trees belonging to Muhammad al-Adra.

In a related incident, colonists, carried out provocative marches, in the villages of Deir Razeh and Umm al-Khair, as well as in the Shafa Yatta area south of Hebron, where they raised Israeli flags and performed Talmudic rituals near Palestinian lands and homes.
