BEIRUT, April 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Four Lebanese, including a female journalist, were killed in Israeli strikes in the towns of Tayri and Yohmar al-Shqif in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA).
It reported that an Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle in Tayri, claiming the lives of two civilians and injuring two female journalists.
The journalists, identified as Amal Khalil and Zeinab Faraj, were surrounded and trapped by the Israeli military at the scene of the strike.
After being initially being blocked by the Israeli forces for hours, the Lebanese Red Cross eventually arrived at the scene and transported Faraj, who sustained moderate wounds.
Efforts are still underway to transport Khalil.
Another drone strike targeted Yohmar al-Shqif, killing two civilians and injuring several others.
