RAMALLAH, December 30, 2009 (WAFA)- The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said, today, that the Construction Cost Index (CCI) Decreased by 0.26% in the West Bank, excluding East Jerusalem in November 2009 Compared with last Month.
The overall Construction Cost Index (CCI) reached 107.28 in November 2009 with a decrease of 0.26% compared with last month, PCBS said.
Analysis of Construction Cost developments for November indicates a decrease in the cost of the major construction inputs. The largest decrease was in Iron and steel (- 1.82%) followed by Quarries and quarrying products (- 1.01%), Ceramic products (- 0.91%) and cutting and shaping stones (- 0.36%).
At the same time, there was an increase in the cost of other major groups. The highest increase was in Cement, lime& gypsum (+ 0.39%), followed by Tiles and panels from ceramic (+ 0.25%) and Cement products (+ 0.13%).
