RAMALLAH, November 24, 2007, (WAFA)- Al-Asra Center for Studies stressed early Saturday that the prisoners behind Israeli bars of Negev jail suffer from severe cold due to the shortage of enough blankets.
The prisoners’ representative in the jail confirmed to the said Center that the rooms to which the prisoners were transferred due to the last fire blazed inside the jail, lack the least of life requirements as there are no electric sets, no enough food supplies.
On his part, head of the Center Ra’fat Hamdouna warned against a new escalation and chaos between the prisoners and the jail authority ahead Annapolis summit in case their issue was not scheduled in the summit agenda.
Hamdouna called for pressurizing Israeli jails’ authority to improve the living conditions inside the jails.
