US Secretary of State to Meet with President Abbas Monday
RAMALLAH, November 3, 2007 (WAFA)-The US Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice will meet on Monday President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, said a US official in the US Department of State Saturday.
The Foreign Media Advisor in the US Department of State, Nasser Deis revealed that the Rice will also meet with Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and former PM Ahmed Qurei before she meets with President Abbas.
He added that Rice is scheduled to meet on Sunday with the Israeli PM, Ehud Olmert and his Foreign Minister.
Rice will discuss the latest developments concerning the Palestinian- Israeli negotiations so as to achieve a joint document ahead of Annapolis peace conference in an effort to alleviate the complications hindering the bilateral negotiations.
