President Receives US Assistant Secretary of State
RAMALLAH, November 3, 2007 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas received on Saturday in Ramallah the US Assistant Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs David Walsh.
Spokesperson of Presidency, Nabil Abu Rdeina stated that President discussed with Walsh the latest Palestinian –Israeli meetings, added that the President demanded the American side to exert continued efforts in order to reach to a document that meets the expectations of the Palestinian people and make the Annapolis conference succeed.
Abu Rdeina said also that President stressed the commitment of the Palestinian side to the Road Map Plan and Arab Initiative, affirming that the Palestinian steps on the ground show the implementation of the first part of the Road Map Plan, calling on Israeli government to abide by its commitments on the Road Map Plan.
