Bush Asks for $400m to Aid PNA
RAMALLAH, October 30, 2007 (WAFA)-President George W. Bush has asked Congress to approve $400m in new aid for PNA President Mahmoud Abbas in different sectors.
US Consul in al-Quds, Jacob Walles told reporters that the President has called on the Congress to endorse the aid to help Abbas get prepared for the Mideast proposed Peace conference.
Walles revealed that $200 million of the new aid would be aimed at the private sector and infrastructure, $150 million for budget support and $25 million each for security and refugees.
