RAMALLAH, September 28, 2007 (WAFA)-Palestinian prisoners in Nafha Israeli prison launched a hunger strike protesting against harsh treatment last Monday.
Prisoners' Center for studies said Friday that massive of prison 'guards, backed by police dogs, stormed the jail and began beating prisoners with sticks and butts in addition to throwing gas bombs. Many prisoners were suffocated and injured.
The Center revealed that living condition inside the jail is very harsh and most of prisoners suffered different diseases, calling on international HR organization to interfere and pressurize Israeli authorities to improve the living conditions and provide medical car for the sick..
