PPS Warns of Health Catastrophe among Prisoners in Israeli Jails
TULKAREM, September 25, 2007 (WAFA)-Palestinian prisoners Society (PPS) ,in Tulkarem, appealed on Tuesday to all international institutions and the International Red Cross for immediate intervention to force Israeli occupation authorities to provide treatment for sick prisoners detained in the Negev Israeli jail .
In a statement, the Society’s head, Halima Ermeilat said that the health conditions of prisoners of Negev jail warn of severe danger and life has become unbearable under procrastination of prison’s administration in the treatment of many of these cases that need to carry out urgent surgery to save their lives.
PPS warned of seriousness of the continuation of these health conditions that cast a shadow over the prisoners of Negev Israeli jail, who live in hygienic conditions , warning of a humanitarian catastrophe in the event of its continuation.
