RAMALLAH, August 31, 2007 (WAFA)-Spokesperson of Presidency condemned on Friday Hamas militias new crimes against citizens in Gaza Strip.

In a statement the Spokesperson added that all Hamas attempts to veil the truth and arrest journalists and prevent television coverage of what happened , indicate that Hamas proves once again that its coup aims at imposing blind dictatorship and extremist culture that contradict all values of our people and their civilized heritage.

He said that today's events in the Gaza Strip prove to everyone that the fate of the coup and coups to the demise, and our heroic people in Gaza will not be intimidated by these mercenaries militias. Our people had stood up and resisted the Israeli occupation with all its might, always holding their constants and all national symbols of the Palestinian flag to an independent Palestinian State and with Jerusalem as its capital.

The Spokesperson concluded that President Mahmoud Abbas stressed on the endurance of our people in the Gaza Strip and will not permit under any circumstances to be punished or subjected to any harm, as a result of the bloody coup carried out by Hamas.
