RAMALLAH, August 25, 2007 (WAFA) - Minister of Information, Dr, Riyadh al Maliki, said on Saturday that the aggressions of Hamas militias in Gaza on Friday are crimes against humanity.

Al-Maliki’s comments came during a sit-in organized by journalists in Ramallah in solidarity with their colleagues in Gaza.

He affirmed the Government’s solidarity with journalists who reflect the true image of life in the Gaza Strip, stressing that no party can prevent the journalists from carrying out their duties.

Hamas militias attacked, and arrested, on Friday a number of Palestinian and foreign reporters while covering the assaults they committed against a peaceful demonstration following the Friday prayers in Gaza.
