RAMALLAH, June 13, 2007 (WAFA) - President Abbas had a phone calls on Wednesday with the several arab and in ternational leaders.

The President had phone calls with the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the German Chancellor and the EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), Javier Solana.

During the phone call, they discussed the situation in the Palestinian territory in light of the Israeli military escalation. They also discussed the situation in Nahr al Bred and the suffering of the Palestinian refugees there.

President Abbas also discussed with the leaders the truce with Israel and the internal situation as well as the activity of the unity government.

President Abbas stressed the necessity of keeping the Mecca Agreement as well as facilitating the work of the unity government.
