President Abbas Says Leadership Cautious to Continue Talks with Israel
RAMALLAH, June 13, 2007 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas voiced on Wednesday cautiousness to continue meetings with the Israeli side so solve all issues leading to a final political solution.
President Abbas' comments came during a joint press conference with the Dutch foreign minister Maxime Verhagen after their meeting in Ramallah.
He welcomed the Dutch role in support of the Palestinian National Authority, thanking Holland for its continued support to the Palestinian people through the EU.
For his part, Verhagen stressed his country's support to the Palestinian people, pointing out that he came at this time to affirm this support.
He also said that he would discuss with the Israeli prime minister the issue of the Palestinian tax money held by Israel.
