President Discusses with Portugal's Special Envoy to Middle East Situations in Palestinian Territory
GAZA, May 28, 2007, (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas received Monday in the Presidential HQ in Gaza Portugal's special envoy to Middle East, Mr. Luis Sampaio.
Discussions were focused on the latest situation in the Palestinian territory, the peace process and the exerted efforts to activate the Arab Peace initiative. They also discussed ways to stop the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people as well as going back to the state of calm so as to push the peace process forward.
President called for the continuity of the European positive role toward the Palestinian people , the resumption of financial aid and lifting imposed blockade on the Palestinian people and his National Authority.
