DAVOS, January 25, 2007, (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas met Thursday with, Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Professor Klaus Schwab, in Davos.

Their meeting came at the side line of the work schedule of the WEF which was opened yesterday.

President briefed the Chairman of WFE about the economic crisis the Palestinian people suffer as a result of the international and Israeli siege.

Later on, President met with the former President, Mohammed Khaminai, of Iran. They discussed the Israeli violations of human rights and practices against Palestinian people in the Palestinian territory.

Abbas briefed Khatami about the latest developments of the internal efforts for forming new government of national unity.
