At least 15 killed in Israeli airstrike on displaced people's tents in Al-Mawasi, southern Gaza

GAZA, July 4, 2025 (WAFA) – At least 15 Palestinians were killed and others injured early Friday morning when Israeli warplanes bombed tents sheltering displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

According to WAFA correspondent, the majority of the victims belong to the Abu Khadija family, whose tent near the Taiba Towers was directly hit in the strike. The area had been designated by the Israeli occupation army as a safe zone for displaced civilians.

In addition to the airstrike, Israeli artillery also targeted tents sheltering displaced persons west of Rafah, intensifying the humanitarian crisis in the south of the besieged enclave.

Meanwhile, three Palestinians were confirmed killed following an Israeli airstrike on a house in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces demolished residential homes in the northern part of Khan Younis.

The attack comes a day after a series of deadly assaults across Gaza left more than 100 Palestinians dead, including 51 who were killed while waiting for humanitarian aid.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 57,130 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 135,173 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
