KHAN YOUNIS, July 3, 2025 (WAFA) — At least seven Palestinians were killed and dozens more wounded, many critically, after Israeli occupation forces targeted civilians waiting for humanitarian aid in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, on Thursday.
According to eyewitnesses and local reports, the attack occurred near the desalination area east of Khan Younis, where a crowd had gathered in hopes of receiving urgently needed supplies.
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip confirmed that the death toll from Israeli fire on aid seekers has risen to 45 since the early hours of Thursday morning. Hospitals in the region have been overwhelmed with casualties, with many of the wounded in critical condition.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 57,130 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 135,173 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
