JORDAN VALLEY, July 3, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces issued stop-work orders on Thursday targeting all residential structures and livestock pensin the community of Ein al-Hilweh, located in the northern Jordan Valley.
Mahdi Daraghmeh, head of the al-Maleh and Bedouin Communities Council, told WAFA that the orders apply to every structure in the area and give residents until July 16 to cease all activity, warning that the Israeli authorities may demolish the structures after that date.
Daraghmeh noted that most of the buildings under threat are longstanding structures, raising fears among residents of imminent demolitions.
Around 13 families reside in Ein al-Hilweh, and have faced escalating colonist violence in recent weeks, including raids on their tents, attempted livestock theft, and obstruction of grazing activities in nearby pastures.
