RAMALLAH, Wednesday, March 25, 2020 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping over what he described as “the great victory of China in overcoming the plight of the novel coronavirus outbreak.”

The President said in a cable that "you have proven your country‘s vast capabilities in the fields of health, management and technology and made achievements in which everyone has witnessed and won the admiration of the entire world, thanks to your wise leadership and your wisdom in managing the biggest health crisis in the contemporary world."

President Abbas also noted that Palestine has followed in China‘s steps in confronting this pandemic and succeeded in controlling the disease to the bare minimum.
