RAMALLAH, Tuesday, March 24, 2020 (WAFA) – A decrease was recorded in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) in West Bank in February compared with the previous month, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
It said CCI decreased for residential buildings by 0.08% due to decrease in rental of equipment by 0.16%, and in the prices of raw materials by 0.12%. At the same time, labor costs and wages remained stable during February compared with the previous month.
CCI for non-residential buildings also decreased by 0.14% due to decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.23%, and rental of equipment by 0.13%. At the same time, labor costs and wages remained stable.
CCI for skeleton buildings also decreased by 0.16% due to decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.25%, and rental of equipment by 0.16%. At the same time, labor costs and wages remained stable.
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) decreased by 0.69% in the West Bank during February compared with January due to decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.99%, and rental of equipment by 0.42%, while operating costs of equipment and maintenance slightly increased by 0.04%. At the same time, labor costs and wages remained stable during February.
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) decreased by 0.14% in the West Bank, Water Networks Cost Index decreased by 0.17%, and Water Reservoirs Cost Index decreased by 0.08% during February compared with the previous month.
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) also decreased by 0.43% in the West Bank during February compared with January, said the PCBS.
