HEBRON, March 24, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Thursday morning shot dead two Palestinians in Tal Rumeida neighborhood in the center of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, said the Health Ministry.
The ministry said Israeli forces shot dead two young Palestinian men, who were identified as Abdul Fattah Sharif, 21, and Ramzi Qasrawi,21, in Tal Rumeida neighborhood.
Israeli media reported that the two men were killed after they allegedly stabbed and wounded a soldier at a checkpoint by the neighborhood.
The soldier allegedly sustained light to moderate wounds in the shoulder and hand.
The shooting marked the latest in the spat of killings of Palestinians, stabbing attempts and shooting attacks against Israelis that has gripped Israel and the occupied Palestinian Territories (oPT) since October 2015.
The number of Palestinians from Hebron who were killed by Israeli forces reached 61.
