RAMALLAH, December 20, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained early Wednesday Nour Tamimi, 20, after raiding her family home in the village of Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah.
Nour appeared in a video that aired on social media fending off soldiers in the village on Friday.
The detention came 24 hours after Nour’s cousin, Ahd Tamimi, 17, who also appeared in the same video, was detained for allegedly humiliating Israeli officers.
Ahd’s mother was also detained hours later on Tuesday after she went to Beynamin detention center north of Ramallah to check on her daughter.
Naji Tamimi, Nour’s father, said his daughter was arrested as a result of an incitement campaign by the Israeli media and officials against the women and girls of the village.
The arrests came after a video that went viral on social media showed Ahd Tamimi slapping an Israeli soldier who invaded her family‘s home and used it to shoot the child Mohammed Tamimi, who is in critical condition in the intensive care unit of the Arab Istishari Hospital in Ramallah.
