JERUSALEM, October 31, 2025 (WAFA) – The extremist, so-called Israeli Minister of ‘National Security’, Itamar Ben Gvir, threatened to execute Palestinian detainees in a video showing him during a raid on one of the Israeli detention centers, standing beside detainees who were being abused while lying on the ground with their hands tied behind their backs.
The video showed Ben Gvir threatening the detainees, stating that they were being held under minimal conditions, but that an additional measure should be implemented — the death penalty.
The extremist minister had previously appeared in another video last August, threatening the detained Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti.
Ben-Gvir’s threat comes as the Israeli Knesset is set to vote next week on a bill proposing the execution of Palestinian detainees, following his warning that he would withdraw support for coalition legislation if the bill is not passed.
On October 23, Ben-Gvir once again bragged about depriving detainees of their most basic rights inside Israeli detention centers, appearing in front of a small cell in the Ktzi’ot prison in the Negev, pointing through the cell’s window at three detainees sitting on the ground in a crouched position. During the same period, circulated footage showed Israeli forces abusing Palestinian detainees in the same prison.
