Israeli colonists steal olive harvests and attack farmers in West Bank

RAMALLAH, October 31, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists carried out multiple attacks on Palestinian farmers in the West Bank districts of Nablus and Ramallah on Friday, stealing olives and preventing residents from accessing their lands.

In the village of Qaryut, south of Nablus, colonists broke into the Wadi Al-Bir area and began picking and stealing olives from trees on lands that have been closed to Palestinian residents by Israeli authorities for nearly two years. The move follows a previous attack two days ago in which colonists cut down hundreds of ancient olive trees in the same village.

Earlier in the day, colonists attacked farmers in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah, while they were harvesting olives. Local sources said the colonists, backed by Israeli forces, forced residents off their lands at gunpoint and detained several activists.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, since the start of the olive harvest season in early October, a total of 259 attacks against Palestinian harvesters have been recorded, including 41 by the Israeli army and 218 by colonists.

These incidents have involved physical assaults, intimidation, restrictions on movement, and damage to crops and equipment.
