CAIRO, October 31, 2025 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas awarded Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, the Grand Collar of the Order of the State of Palestine, on the occasion of the nearing end of his term as Secretary-General of the Arab League.
The honor was bestowed in recognition of his distinguished diplomatic career, his contributions to Arab unity, and his efforts in defending the causes of the Arab nation, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
In response, Secretary-General Aboul Gheit expressed his gratitude to President Mahmoud Abbas for the honor, describing it as a source of pride for himself, for all Egyptian diplomats, and for the Arab League, while commending the President’s steadfastness and wisdom, as well as the resilience of the Palestinian people.
