NABLUS, Saturday, May 2, 2020 (WAFA) – Israeli forces prevented today Palestinian farmers from ploughing their lands near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, according to one of the farmers.
Ahmad Shahin said farmers went today to their land in the village of al-Sawiyeh to plough it in order to plant it when Israeli soldiers stopped them and ordered them to leave it under the pretext it was state land.
He said the army would not let the farmers work in their lands because they want to keep it for settlement expansion as settlers often cut trees and encroach on the Palestinian land.
