SALFIT, September 23, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists blocked the Wadi al-Shaer road linking Salfit city with the town of Lubban al-Sharqiya on Wednesday morning, while Israeli forces closed Salfit’s northern entrance again, disrupting the movement of Palestinians and vehicles.

Local sources told WAFA that dozens of colonists placed stones and metal spikes along the Wadi al-Shaer road, damaging several vehicles before residents managed to remove the obstacles and reopen the road.

The sources added that Israeli forces later closed Salfit’s northern entrance, disrupting traffic and forcing Palestinians to use alternative routes in order to reach their destinations.

The entrances to Salfit and its main roads are frequently subjected to closures and other restrictions that impede the movement of residents between the city and neighboring towns and villages.
