RAMALLAH, Thursday, October 03, 2019 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated today his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier and German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the occasion of the Day of German Unity.
He expressed in two separate cables to the two German leaders his pride in the friendship and relationship between their two peoples and their two countries, stressing Germany‘s support for the Palestinian people and their just cause to end the occupation and establish the independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
