NEW YORK, Friday, September 06, 2019 (WAFA) – Minister Ahmad Assaf, chairman of the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation (PBC), and Melissa Fleming, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications, signed today a cooperation agreement in the area of media.

The agreement, signed at UN Headquarters in New York in the presence of Palestine‘s Permanent Representative to the UN Riyad Mansour, allows PBC to broadcast the sessions and activities of the UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council in general, especially on the Palestinian issue, and will also help spread the culture of peace.

Speaking on the sideline of the signing ceremony, Assaf expressed his readiness to provide all assistance to the United Nations Information Center to produce any information materials in Palestine and broadcast them to the world, and to cover the activities of UNRWA at home and abroad.

Assaf also invited Fleming and her team to visit Palestine to closely see the daily activities and the achievements of the PBC in the professional and technical fields.
