RAMALLAH, Friday, August 16, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is warm to very warm in daytime with a rise of temperature which approaches 4°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Weather is mild in mountainous districts and relatively warm in other districts in nighttime. Wind is southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low.

Saturday’s temperature is set to significantly drop and become seasonal, paving the way to a significant relief in the heat stress.

Sunday’s weather is partially cloudy to fair, particularly in the early morning and night hours, with a slight drop of temperature which approaches the seasonal average.

PMD expects Monday’s weather to be seasonably summer with relatively warm conditions in daytime and mild conditions in nighttime. No significant change is expected in temperature.

PMD warns people against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight on Friday, especially during the peak hours of the day from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm local time, and against setting fire to areas where dry grass has grown.
