RAMALALH, Thursday, August 15, 2019 (WAFA) – An Israeli special force abducted the secretary of the Fatah movement in the occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood of al-Issawiya, Yasser Darwish, said local sources.

Witnesses said an Israeli special force abducted Darwish during a raid into the town of al-Issawiya.

Darwish was released by Israeli forces a few days ago and was banned from entering his hometown for a period of one week. He was detained dozens of times under flimsy security pretexts.

The town of al-Issawiya has been subjected to repeated incursions by Israeli forces in the past few months.

(Updated at 6:15 pm with the Israeli forces’ arrest of several Palestinian activists in Jerusalem, in addition to Awad al-Salaymeh, a Fatah member, who was detained during a raid on his home in Jerusalem.

Israeli forces reportedly carried out a detention campaign against activists and Fatah members in Jerusalem after worshipers succeeded in preventing Israeli forces and fanatic Jews from storming of al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem during the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha last Sunday.)
