RAMALLAH, Monday, August 12, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is unseasonably warm in mountainous districts and very warm in the Jordan Valley in daytime with a slight rise of temperature which approaches 3°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

 Relatively mild conditions are expected in mountains and warm conditions in the Jordan Valley in nighttime. Wind is southwesterly to northwesterly and light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 23°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 30°C and a low of 22°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 42°C and a low of 29°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 26°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Tuesday’s temperature is set to remain steady with warm to very warm conditions in daytime and relatively mild conditions in nighttime.

PMD expects the weather to remain unseasonably hot and dry on Wednesday and Thursday with steady temperature.

PMD warned people against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially during the peak hours of the day from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm local time, and against setting fire to areas where dry grass has grown.
