Presidency expresses resentment over Israeli allegations of tense Palestinian-Saudi relations

RAMALLAH, Sunday, August 04, 2019 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Presidency expressed resentment last night over allegations by the Israeli daily Jerusalem Post, which claimed that tensions were recently witnessed in the Palestinian-Saudi relations.

“These [allegations] are vicious rumors and are part of the attempts to disrupt the historical and deep relations between Palestine and Saudi Arabia, especially the special relationship between President Mahmoud Abbas and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz,” the Presidency said in a statement.

The Presidency hailed Saudi Arabia‘s firm and unswerving support of the Palestinian people, especially the historic position of Saudi Arabia which backs the creation of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, as well as the continued financial support the country has offered Palestine.
