RAMALLAH, Saturday, August 03, 2019 (WAFA) – Headed by President Mahmoud Abbas, the committee charged with stopping work on the agreements signed with Israel started today its first meeting in Ramallah in order to find out the mechanisms to do so.
The committee is scheduled to provide its recommendations and proposals regarding the matter to the Palestinian leadership soon.
On July 25, the President declared an end to working on all the signed agreements with Israel, following Israel‘s demolition of 10 Palestinian buildings in Sur Baher neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem that displaced dozens of Palestinian civilians.
He also gave orders then to form a committee to implement this decision as previously called for by the Palestine Liberation Organization‘s (PLO) Central Council.
