RAMALLAH, Friday, March 29, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Friday is considerably cloudy and relatively cold in daytime and cold in nighttime with a drop of temperature, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Scattered rain showers are expected to fall on various districts in the afternoon. Wind is southeasterly to northeasterly and light to moderate in daytime before becoming southeasterly to southwesterly and moderate to active in the night hours. Sea waves are low in daytime and medium in nighttime.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 10°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 16°C and a low of 9°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 15°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A low pressure is set to affect the region on Saturday, causing temperature to plummet with considerably cloudy and cold conditions. Scattered rain showers along with occasional thunderstorms and hail are expected on some districts, particularly the northern.
Sunday’s temperature is set to further significantly drop with cloudy and cold conditions. Periods of torrential rain along with thunderstorms and occasional hail are expected on various districts.
PMD expects Monday’s temperature to remain steady with cloudy and cold to very cold conditions. Scattered torrential rains along with thunderstorms and occasional hail are expected on various districts.
PMD warns people against floods in low areas and valleys, gusty winds, low visibility due to fog formation and slippery roads.
