Four teens among 19 detained from West Bank and Jerusalem

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, March 27, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained overnight 19 Palestinians, including at least four teens, from various parts of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem and seized cash in some of the raids, said the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

Israeli military raided Deir Abu Mashaal village, northwest of Ramallah, and detained seven Palestinians, including two 17-year-old teens.

In Jerusalem, PPS said Israeli troops rounded up six Palestinians, including at least one minor.

In Bethlehem, PPS said that three Palestinians were detained from the southern West Bank district.

The three were rounded up during an Israeli military raid of Dheisheh refugee camp that resulted in the killing of a paramedic and injuring four youngsters from live bullets.

In the northern West Bank, PPS said a Palestinian boy was rounded up from Nablus district and two others, including a former prisoner, from Jenin district.

Meanwhile, Israeli military conducted multiple raids in the Hebron-district towns of Bani Naim and Beit Awwa, ransacking a number of houses and seizing cash from the house of a former prisoner.

This came as Israeli forces hurled a tear gas canister inside a house during a raid that triggered clashes in the northern West Bank city of Tubas setting the house on fire, which was put off by the civil defense.
