RAMALLAH, Sunday, March 24, 2019 (WAFA) – Saeb Erekat, secretary general of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), slammed  Romania‘s announcement to move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem a blatant violation of Palestinian rights, international law, and UN resolutions.

“It only contributes to eliminating the two-state solution, the only way towards peace and stability in the whole region,” said Erekat in a tweet.

He called upon the European Union to take action on this decision, which he stressed is a violation of Europe’s long-standing policy. “We are raising the matter with the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC),” said Erekat.
