JERUSALEM, Sunday, March 24, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli police detained today a woman after she had left the Dome of the Rock mosque in Al-Aqsa compound in Jerusalem’s Old City, according to witnesses.
They told WAFA correspondent in Jerusalem that police detained Sima Dkeidek after chasing her when she was at Bab al-Rahma prayer area inside the walled holy compound where she was lecturing about the history of the area and Al-Aqsa Mosque in general.

Police meanwhile released last night one of the guards of Al-Aqsa Mosque after holding him for one day.
Saed Salaymeh, who works as a guard at the Mosque for the Muslim Waqf department that is in charge of Al-Aqsa Mosque, was released on $1500 bail and ordered to return for interrogation today after he refused to sign an order barring him from being at the Mosque for a period of time.
Israeli police, in a campaign to impose its control over Al-Aqsa Mosque, has been barring many guards, religious figures and women from being inside the compound for days and weeks at a time under different pretexts.
