BANGKOK, Friday, March 15, 2019 (WAFA) – The national Palestinian beach soccer team lost to Japan 0-6 in the semi-finals of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Beach Soccer Championships being played in Thailand.
This was the first time for Palestine to reach the semi-finals in this game after defeating Lebanon 4 to 3 in the quarter-finals played yesterday.
Palestine‘s loss means it will have to contend with either the third or fourth place when it plays Oman next week.
Japan is going to play The United Arab Emirates for the final game on Sunday.
The best three teams in the games will qualify to play in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2019, which will be held in Paraguay.
