Israeli authorities issue new stop-work orders in Nahalin and Silwan

BETHLEHEM, June 10, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces issued on Wednesday stop-work orders for a residential home and three agricultural structures in the town of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem.

Walid Najajra, the administrative affairs officer for the Nahalin municipality, reported that Israeli troops raided the areas of Shaab al-Mufarrah, Za'nouna, and Umm Hadida, east of the town, and issued a stop-work order for a 120-square-meter house inhabited by four people, claiming it was built without a permit.

Najajreh added that three agricultural rooms owned by local residents Rizq Salim Najajreh, Ahmad Hassan Najajreh, and Aql Nassar Najajreh also received stop-work orders.

He pointed out that Nahalin has been subjected to escalating attacks by Israeli forces and colonists for months, including the demolition of homes, agricultural structures, a park, and other facilities, as well as the issuance of other stop-work orders, attacks on residents' homes, and grazing of settler livestock on village lands.

In separate incident, Israeli authorities notified a Jerusalemite resident of an order to demolish a room built on his land in the Silwan neighborhood, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

The Jerusalem Governorate said that crews from the so-called "Nature Authority" of the occupation stormed the land of Jerusalemite Khaled Al-Zeer in Silwan, and handed him a notice to remove a room and its contents.
