Palestine U23 football team draws with North Korea U23

JIANGYIN, CHINA, January 13, 2018 (WAFA) – Palestine’s Under 23 (U23) national football team came to a draw in the game played on Saturday in Jiangyin Stadium against North Korea U23 team organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Palestine was the first to score a goal in the 15th minute of the first half of the game when Uday Dabbagh hit the  ball into North Korea’s goal.

Palestine missed several attempts to score more goals in the first half of the game but it played poorly in the second half allowing North Korea to possess the ball more in the second half.

A mistake by Palestine’ defender, Mohammad Bassem, that left the ball in his team’s goal in the 74th minute crushed hopes of Palestine winning this game, which ended in a draw.

Palestine lost its first game in the U23 Championship against Japan. It still has a chance to advance to the second round if it wins against Thailand and if North Korea losses to Japan.
