Finance Minister announces launch of Yabus financial application

RAMALLAH, June 24, 2026 (WAFA) – Minister of Finance and Planning Estephan Salameh announced on Wednesday the launch of the "Yabous" application, aimed at enhancing the resilience of public sector employees and enabling them to meet their obligations toward essential service providers.

Speaking at the Palestine Public Finance Institute in Al-Bireh, Salameh said that the pilot phase of the application includes employees of the Civil Defense, the Customs Police, the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs, and the Jerusalem Governorate, to ensure that the application and clearing mechanisms are effective e and clear of any technical problems ahead of its official rollout to all public employees in the coming period.

He called on employees of the aforementioned institutions to install the application on their smartphones after verifying their identities through the iDplus application starting next Sunday, noting that they will be able to begin paying their bills during the following week.

The event also featured the signing of agreements to regulate technical arrangements with the list of service providers covered by the application, including the electricity distribution companies of the Jerusalem, Hebron, Northern and Southern governorates, the Tubas Electricity Distribution Company, and the Jerusalem Water Undertaking.

The service providers covered by the application also include the Palestine Telecommunications Group (Paltel, Jawwal and Hadara), Ooredoo Palestine, Mada Al-Arab, Al-Zaytouna Telecom & Internet Co., Gemzo Telecommunications and IT Co., BNet, Cool Net and Together.

Minister Salameh stressed that the second phase of the Yabous application will see an expansion of the basket of service providers to include, for example, municipal services and government services.
