Weather: Temperature to drop, low pressure to affect the region

 

RAMALLAH, December 5, 2017 (WAFA) – Weather on Tuesday is partially cloudy with a drop in temperature while remaining higher than its annual average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Low pressure accompanied by cold air and rain are expected to affect the region starting at night.

Wind is southwesterly to westerly, light to moderate, to become active at evening hours. Sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in Jerusalem is expected to reach a high of 20 degrees Celsius during the day and drops to 11 at night. In Ramallah, a high of 19 degrees is expected and a low of 10; Nablus, high of 21 degrees, low of 12; Jenin and Toubas, high of 23 degrees and a low of 12; Jericho and the Dead Sea, 26 degrees high and 16 low; the Jordan Valley, 24 degrees high and 14 low; Bethlehem, 20 high and 11 low; Hebron, 19 degrees high and 10 low; Gaza and the coastal areas, 22 degrees high and 15 degrees low.

The PMD also predicts weather on Wednesday to be cloudy and cold as the low pressure continues to affect the region. Temperature is expected to significantly drop and approach two degrees Celsius lower than its annual average. Rain, thunderstorms and hail at times are expected in several areas.

Thursday’s weather is cloudy to partially cloudy and cold, while temperature remains the same. A chance of scattered rain showers are expected on some areas.

Clear to relatively cold skies are expected on Friday. Temperature is expected to rise to be around its annual average.
