RAMALLAH, August 24, 2017 (WAFA) – Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said Thursday that the visit of the American delegation to Ramallah and the meeting with President Mahmoud Abbas later in the day is important and crucial particularly since it comes after the delegation’s talks in the region and meeting with Arab leaders.
He said President Abbas held deep consultations with Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman following their meeting with the US delegation, which could create a new opportunity to achieve peace based on the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative that would halt the deterioration in the peace process.
US delegation includes Jared Kushner, senior adviser to US President Donald Trump, Jason Greenblatt, the chief negotiator, and Deputy National Security Adviser Dina Powell.
